Third Party insurance is the minimum cover you are required to have by law, and is also the cheapest way to get basic cover for your vehicle. Third Party insurance gives you peace of mind, because it means you’re covered if you have an accident causing damage or injury to any other person, vehicle, animal or property other than your own. While it is for the purpose of protecting other drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, it doesn’t cover you for damage to your own vehicle or other costs such as repairs.
Third Party cover protects you for:
- Liability for injuring other people (including passengers)
- Liability of passengers for accidents caused by them
- Liability for damage to property (not your own)
- Liability arising from using a caravan or trailer
If your vehicle is over thirty years old we may insist on third party only cover as the cost of replacing parts would be very expensive.
